The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The support issue produced for intervention ordeals a substantial inflow sassa status check of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
